Hi, guys! How yall doin?

Let’s use the last one hour of this week talking about one of my favorite things on earth: JUSTIN DREW BIEBER.

Oh my God where should I start?

Let me just start with a fact: gw sudah jadi Belieber sejak 2008–sejak JB debut. Momen ngefans sama JB pertama kali gw abadikan di sini. Beberapa kali juga gw cerita soal JB di blog ini. Ada di sini dan sini. 

Kenapa gw suka JB simply karena lagu-lagunya. ISTG almost all songs di My World, My World 2.0, Believe, Purpose, and Justice have so much impact on me. Lagu-lagu di album-album awal menemani masa-masa kuliah di Depok yang berat. Purpose punya tempat spesial di hati karena dirilis bertepatan dengan momen gw mencari “purpose” dalam hidup gw. Beberapa kali gw refer beasiswa LPDP itu beasiswa Purpose di blog ini. Yha, gw segitunya sama JB, guys. 

I love his songs and I love him for his musicality, his talent, and a little bit of his personality—naaahhh HE’S SO CHARMING! ><

Gw termasuk Belieber yang beruntung, pernah berkesempatan untuk menonton langsung JB di konser Purpose World Tour Melbourne tahun 2017. Sebuah momen sakral yang sayangnya tidak ada dokumentasinya, karena gw sangat khusyuk menonton beliau, ga sempet foto-foto, cuma ada satu di sini. 

Dua minggu ini semesta memberikan gw such awesome weekends dengan BIEBERCHELLA. 

Awalnya ogah-ogahan nonton karena sungguh perjalanan fangirling JB ini lumayan up and down buat gw. Kadang kalo lagi suka, suka banget. Tapi kalo lagi bosen ya, sama sekali ga peduli gitu.

JB as an idol juga ga selalu bersikap layak untuk diidolakan. Sejak dulu banyak banget skandalnya, ya DUI-lah, melihara monyet terus di-abandon-lah, ribut sama paparazzilah, nabrak oranglah, masuk penjaralah, jadi playboy-lah, drugs-lah, berantemlah, kena sue-lah, dirumorkan ngehamilin banyak ceweklah, dll. 

Seriously, if you asked me, I haven’t seen him in good shape for years… Setiap liat berita, kondisinya menyedihkan gitu, kayak ga terawat, ga sehat, ga bahagia~ Ga tega banget ngeliatnya~

I also heard that he has sold all of his older records sehingga dia technically tidak punya hak lagi untuk membawakan lagu-lagu tersebut di panggung kecuali dia mau bayar royalti. Gw tidak mendengarkan Swag & Swag II pula karena he was in a very weird place ketika merilis 2 album itu, so I didn’t feel like supporting him~

I couldn’t care less about Coachella until social media told me he did something groundbreaking: a freaking YouTube karaoke on his fan-favorite bangers!

I was like… WHAT? 

THE AUDACITY!

KOK BISA???

So I watched it.

And I cried.

I mean, you guys don’t understand, YouTube is where he started it all. He’s THE KING OF YOUTUBE. He will forever be a YouTube success story. 

And now he’s out there bringing us back to where it all started???

Words can’t contain how I feel, man. Oh my God… I can’t…

It was so meaningful. 

I really don’t give a fuck, orang bilang stage-nya JB itu males, less effort, budget, SHUT THE HELL UP YALL JUST DON’T GET IT! Cuma Belieber yang paham!

The first half of his set, I couldn’t care less, wasn’t too familiar. But the second half, bro? Crazyyyy~~~

I mean… Man… As a Belieber, gw tuh ga expect banyak… Gw cuma mau JB sober,  sembuh, sehat, bahagia, punya kehidupan normal bersama orang-orang tersayangnya. Gw udah sangat sedih denger kabar dia jadi korban child grooming You-Know-Who berinisial PD. Berkali-kali gw menyaksikan sendiri JB diberitakan aneh-aneh, kena kasus sana sini, skandal sana sini, goodness… this man has suffered so much.

Jadi ketika denger dia di Coachella, my initial thought was… oh God please don’t put another pressure on him.. Dia aja belum tentu bisa sober.. Dia cancel world tour tahun 2022 karena mental health issue.. How sure are we that he could pull off a Coachella? How come we expect him to go on stage again in front of millions of people? Please I just don’t want him to suffer again.. 

Tapi Justin berdiri di sana… Di panggung Coachella… Panggung terbesar yang pernah ada.. 

He was standing there strong, looking very healthy, his voice was clear and charming—just like how we know it, and there he was… FLYING.

The moment he showed up we all knew, HE’S BACK. The way he commanded the stage… nothing else matters. No backup dancers, no outfit changes, no flashy stage lights, no pyrotechnics during most of the set like his Melbourne concert 9 years ago, didn’t matter. He just wanna be PRESENT for his beloved fans. T.T

Thank you JB for these two wonderful weekends. I will always be a Belieber. 18 years and counting. Always. <3

~~Bonus Skit~~

Now that yall know how much impact JB has in me, allow me to manifest 2 things:

1. This one is for my besties, whoever reads it. If I ever get married someday, I’ll throw a bachelorette party in a 5-stars hotel and I want us to create that viral Beauty and A Beat TikTok trend, okayyy??? It’s been on my mind for quite a while and I’ve been really longing to do it, tapi gw tahan, because it has to be in the right moment, and that moment will be my bachelorette party. Period!

2. OLLG—Oh my Gosh.. How should I put it? The impact of this song on me, man… Denger intronya aja gw bisa nangis, lho.. Universe, please hear me.. Please let me be an OLLG just for once in my life. So, this will also be in the scenario if I ever get married, this song must be INVOLVED! Idk how, but it must be. Non-negotiable. Ini pesan buat siapa? Siapa aja deh yang baca. Take notes, okayyy??? NO OLLG, NO WEDDING!
